Row
Lengths

By Tim Apps
It is recommended that a
maximum row length of 200m, with an 8 m headland either end
to accommodate turning to be used, or a 3 m break every 200m
in the row to allow for the emptying of the harvester. Row
spacing’s are recommended at 2.75m on even ground and
slightly more for sloping ground. Due to the design of the
harvester it cannot be reversed after entering the row. It
may however, be slowly advanced without harvesting (some
cherry may be lost as the harvester moves through the
row).
